74HC164 8-Bit Serial-in/Parallel-out Counter Shift IC

The MM74HC164 uses innovative silicon-gate CMOS technology. It's the high sound immunity and reduced consumption of standard CMOS integrated circuits. This 8-bit shift register includes gated serial inputs and CLEAR. Inputs A & B license complete control over the incoming information. A LOW at either or both inputs inhibits entry of new information and resets the very first flip-flop to the very low degree at the next clock pulse. A high degree on a single input allows another input that will then ascertain the condition of the very first flip-flop. Data in the serial inputs might be altered while the clock is HIGH or LOW, however just information fulfilling the setup and hold time requirements will be input. Information is serially shifted in and from the 8-bit enroll during the positive going transition of the clock pulse. Clear is different from the clock and achieved by a very low level at the very clear input signal.
