Product Overview

MCP3002 is a sequential approximation 10-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) Converter with on-board sample and hold circuitry. The MCP3002 is programmable to offer one pseudo-differential input or double single-ended inputs. Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) and Integral Nonlinearity (INL) are equally given at 1 LSB. Communication with the device is completed with a very simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. The unit is capable of conversion speeds of around 200 ksps in 5V and 75 ksps in 2.7V. The MCP3002 apparatus operates over a wide voltage range (2.7V - 5.5V). Low current layout permits performance with a normal standby current of 5 nA and a standard active present of 375 A. The MCP3002 is extended in 8-pin MSOP, PDIP, TSSOP and 150 mil SOIC packages.
